Imaging Lab
 

Equipment Policy

Imaging Lab equipment may be checked out by registered CDes students only. A valid student ID and phone number must be presented upon checkout.

Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis. Students may, and are encouraged to, reserve equipment prior to needing it. Reserved equipment must be picked up within a half-hour of its reservation time or it will be placed back into regular circulation.

Checked out equipment is the responsibility of whomever's student ID we have on file; no exceptions. If a student checks out equipment, it is her responsibility to see that it is returned to the Imaging Lab undamaged and on time even if she is sharing it with other students or a class.

All equipment must be checked out and returned to the lab personnel on duty. If equipment is not returned directly to lab personnel, the student to whom it was last registered will be held accountable for its whereabouts.

Items available for check out:

  • Extension Cords -- arranged time usage
  • Ladder -- half-hour check-out
  • Lights -- two- to three-hour check out for classes or presentation
  • Tripods -- two- to three-hour check out with camera
  • Backdrops -- arranged time usage
  • TV / VCR -- two- to three-hour check out (reservation recommended)
  • Video projector -- two- to three-hour check out (reservation recommended)
  • Dell laptop -- advance reservation required
  • Mac laptop -- advance reservation required
  • LCD units -- advance reservation required

Imaging Lab staff reserves the right to deny student equipment checkout if the above policy is compromised.

Note: Any exceptions to these policies must be approved by Imaging Lab staff.
