Our most important task is to minimize the inherent dangers of woodworking, thus minimizing the likelihood of any accidents. User education is the best tool for these dangers. The Workshop User Handbook includes an introduction to safe practice and equipment usage. This lays a groundwork for all shop users.
In early 2005 the CDes Workshop aquired two of the first 100 production SawStop tablesaws. The SawStop tablesaw incorporates technology that stops and drops the blade within 5 milliseconds of contact with flesh. This technology has a tremendous potential to reduce machine tool related injuries and represents the workshop's committment to user safety.
