Program Information

Mentor program applications are now available for 2008-2009.  The program runs during the academic year from October through April. 

Mentor applications are accepted through mid-October. 

Both students and mentors will be notfied via email, whether they have been matched, the week of October 13-17, 2008

Orientation Kick-off Event

Student and Mentor Roles and Responsibilities:

• Participate in some form of orientation and goal setting during the first month
• Maintain regular contact with your partner via phone, email or meetings.
• Return calls and emails promptly.
• Act in a professional manner at all times.
• Meet with your partner at least once per month.
• Respect confidences and trust each other.
• Work to discover common ground and be respectful of differences.
• Be yourself.  Be a good listener.  Be available.
• Contact program coordinator if there is a concern with the mentoring relationship.
• Complete the program evaluation at the end of the session (due in May).
