Private Support

Gifts from donors -- including alumni, friends, firms, allied professions, foundations, and other organizations -- provide key funding for many areas in the College of Design.

Many programs outside the regular budget could not be sustained without donor support. Here are just a few examples of areas that are impacted by private gifts:

• Fellowships and scholarships
• Public lectures
• Sponsorship of visiting scholars
• Communication with alumni and donors via publications
• Recruitment and recognition of students with prizes and other awards
• Faculty in their teaching, research, and outreach activities
• Research and outreach units
