Converting Web Pages to the CMS

Important note: This procedure can also be used to clean-up your pages that are already in the content management system.

All customized source code must be removed from your Web pages before they can be converted to the content management system (CMS).

Conversion priority

Web sites or sections that complete the process outlined below will be migrated to the CMS earlier than pages that do not follow the process.

If you use a Web-based application for some of your content, and that application is not compatible with the CMS, it will not be converted. We will make every effort to adapt the application for use within the CMS.

How to tell if your pages need cleaning

Open each of your pages in a browser and select the View Source command. Look for custom source code like:

style=

Use the existing CMS editor (or an external editor like Dreamweaver or any text editor) to remove these custom source code elements and any empty paragraphs.
